General Introduction

The jobcymru Companies Database contains profiles of a wide range of local companies, split into 4 categories:

Manufacturing
Sales
Tourism & Leisure
Service

Each company profile includes:

Contact details of the company
the number employed
a brief description of what the company does
Training they offer their staff
the Skills in demand
valued Attributes
whether they offer Work Experience
the Range of jobs available
the Level of qualification required for each job (1-5)
the level of fluency in the Welsh language required to carry out each job (1-5)

Qualification levels

The Qualifications required for each job are divided into 5 levels. This makes it easy to compare different types of qualifications and the routes people could take into a job e.g. NVQs, A Levels, GCSEs, HND etc. The table below explains these qualification levels.

Bilingual Skills
Each job in the online Company Profiles is given a number 1-5 depending on the level of Welsh required to carry out that job.

2	Used amongst the workforce
3	Verbal Communication with the public
4	Substantial use, including in administration
5	Most work conducted in Welsh
